Having dedicated nearly four decades to chronicling the lives of Canada's First Nations, Alanis Obomsawin returns to the village where she was raised to tell her own people's history of prosperity, displacement, endurance, and revitalization.

Peder runs into his ex-girlfriend Hanna one day. They're happily married with new partners but although many years has passed Peder and Hanna are still attracted to each other. However, they don't want to jeopardize their marriages or cheat. One day they come across an antique book about dreams. With the help of the book, they manage to enter a dream world where they can live together in a life where anything is possible, while living their normal lives during the day. But soon enough it becomes hard to separate the dream world from reality.

Where the Sun Always Shines follows Tom (Per Lasson) and Petra (Lisa Linnertorp), a successful couple who have built up a large Ica Maxi store in Linköping and sold it for a record sum. They have been living a life of luxury in Mallorca with their sons for a month, ready to enjoy an eternal vacation. But their lives take an unexpected turn during Tom's 50th birthday party, leading his brother Timmy (Erik “Jerka” Johansson) and his wife Maja (Rakel Wärmländer) to move their family to the sunny climes of Mallorca, where chaos ensues.

Following the loss of his mother Ayako, Takumi receives a Lygodium box with a letter inside addressed to Wira. He then decides to travel from Japan to Thailand in order to return the box to its owner.There, Takumi meets Lita, Wira's daughter. He learns that his mother once asked Wira to teach her the art of Lygodium weaving and an incredible bond was formed though, in the end, she decided to return to Japan much to Wira's despair. Learning of their story evokes new thoughts about Takumi's own relationships.

Domas is a kleptomaniac. He works in a sport club through an integration program which helps people with mental disorders to return to society. One day he does not manage to resist and steals a bag from a young doctor Simona, who is living through an existential crisis. She asks his help to find her things. Domas feels ashamed, but he cannot confess. He offers her a ride home. Together they go on a journey through the night in Vilnius, their painful experiences reveal as well as a fragile, but at the same time impossible connection between them sets up.
